Virgil Pate

Virgil Pate began collaborating with the founders of Verticalis to develop a business sales plan in late 2005 and joined the company as Vice President of Sales in March of 2006. He was attracted to Verticalis because he believes strongly in the team at Verticalis for their capabilities and for their commitment to the technology industry.

A career forged by working closely with senior management to implement "high risk/high reward" revolutionary enterprise solutions has given Pate the insight and understanding of business drivers needed for successful realization of benefits that can be achieved through enhanced automation and process management. He has engineered not only innovative solutions but ways of keeping costs low via leverage of established industry expertise and creative resource management.

Pate has extensive experience with technology solutions from a broad range of perspectives - art director; executive; senior architect; application manager; user acceptance engineer, just to name a few. He has a proven track record of success across different industries and environments (Fortune 500 corporations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations). Pate has engineered, built, and managed solutions for Hilton, Marriott, Verizon, MTV, JC Penney, Pier1, Cinemark, Earthlink, CBS, Texas A&M, OSU, The American College of Emergency Physicians, Caritas, and Foot Action, among others.
